How to Eat Watermelon Better

Swallow the seeds. There's no reason not to. They won't grow inside you, despite what I used to tell my little sister. Just swallow them, and experience carefree watermelon eating. It will change your life.

...and who knows what could happen if you pooped in the woods!

Maybe a watermelon would grow? Baked watermelon seeds are wicked good. Only trouble is getting the kids to spit onto the baking sheet. I still think raw seeds will sprout in the stomach. I'm forty-five years old for pete's sake and I believe that? Thanks for setting the record straight. Then again, look at the flouride debacle of '07. I'll save this post for the pmpkn, so he doesn't endure the same pain.

I cried for hours because our housekeeper told me that a watermelon would grow in me. I was 8, she was over 20. Talk about trauma!

That's what housekeepers (and big brothers) are for.

Dr. K,

You say that there is no reason not to eat the seeds, but you forget that spitting seeds is FUN!

So, that being the case, is there any reason TO eat the seeds? Vitamins or fiber or something that eclipses the pleasure derived from spitting for distance and/or accuracy?

hey david

what about the risk for appendicitis? do we really know what prompts this vestigial organ to get infected? i wonder what dr. ambrose would have thought about swallowing seeds.
