After about an hour of limping around this morning, things seemed to feel a bit better, but I still had signifcant pain. I saw Michael Thomas this morning. He asked me where it hurt, I pointed, and he said, "Ah, yes. The psoas muscle." Apparently this is a common soccer injury since it's the muscle used for kicking and sprinting.
Now that I've been sitting again for a bit, I'm in excrutiating pain when I move. This feels like it's going to take a while to get better. I'm bummed.

Youch! See, that's why I don't play soccer. I have enough trouble from the occasional bouts of sciatica. ;p Hope it doesn't keep you sidelined for too long.
This injury along with the stress put on the family me by being at soccer four days a week helped me conclude I need to withdraw my bid for the National Team.
There goes my Nike endorsement contract.
Hats off to you, David. Sorry to hear about the injury, but I'm glad you got the gumption to suit up and tryout.
It was great seeing you out there and I know you'll be heard from again when you're all healed up.

Maybe you can try professional baseball in the spring?
Professional baseball sounds fun, but I don't think I have the stomach for the steroids.
