I'm amazed by how many people complain to me that I don't warn them that these pictures might give them nightmares and why don't I warn them of the graphic nature. What do you think it means when the title of the post is "gory eye picture," kittens?

The barb looks inside the eye so you might not want to just pull it through the way it came.
Perhaps push the barb through pars plana??!

Yeah, I saved the eye and used it as bait.
This wasn't my case, but in the couple of fishhook injuries I've operated on, I push the hook on through the eye so the barb comes out, cut the barb off, and then pull the rest of the hook out. Sew up all the holes, and the eye is back in business. Sort of. It's the type of injury that you want to avoid getting.
Quite an eye catcher, that one.
